A Message From The President

January 2025

Dear Athena Sisters,

Happy New Year! As we step into 2025, I find myself filled with gratitude, reflection, and anticipation for what lies ahead, with a little dose of uncertainty. This past year has been a journey of growth, resilience, and connection—one that has tested us in many ways but also brought us closer together as a community.

As we enter 2025, I am energized by our goals for the year ahead. We continue to focus on the robust feedback from our membership survey. We’ve already worked on enhancing communications and engagement through technology with our texting capabilities and new website coming soon. We are building deeper member connections, a diversity of programming aligned with our values and various paths in life, and elevating the visibility of Athena within the community.

In addition to these organizational goals, I am personally excited for the opportunities we have to connect, grow, and make an impact together. I encourage you all to get involved in Athena’s initiatives—whether it’s by attending our monthly luncheons, being a part of a  committee, or participating in our advocacy efforts. This is where the magic happens, and I am deeply grateful to be a part of such an inspiring and supportive group of women.

As we begin 2025, I also again encourage you to take some time for reflection and renewal. For me, this is a time of setting new intentions—reflecting on where I’ve been, where I’m headed, and what I want to achieve in the year to come. I always choose a “word of the year” and for 2025 it is Resonance: the profound connection that we feel when an idea or concept synchronizes and aligns harmoniously with our experiences and beliefs, often creating strong emotions and affirming our deepest truths. I want to thank Mary Key for sharing these two wonderful resources from our December message:

I’m looking forward to seeing all of you at our upcoming events, continuing to build on the incredible foundation we’ve set, and making 2025 another year of growth, impact, and connection. Thank you for all that you do to support one another and make Athena the amazing organization it is. Here’s to a year filled with love, wellness, adventure, and, of course, continued sisterhood.

With all my love and gratitude,
Jessica Muroff
