Kim Jowell recently received the Joe Rizzo Leader & Learner Award at the Consortium of Florida Education Foundations conference.

Lorna Taylor, Stella Thayer and Katherine Young named to the 2022 Florida 500.  This annual publication by Florida Trend highlights the 500 most influential executives in different economic sectors through the state.

Dr. Juel Shannon Smith received the 2022 NAACP Living Bridge Award for her local, national and international impact.  Juel was recognized for her longtime leadership that includes Founding Executive Director USF Women & Leadership, Founding Executive Director USF Institute on Black Life, International Board Habitat for Humanity, and National Officer for The Links.

The Hospitality Committee has planned a fun and festive Holiday Party for 2020. It is not our usual celebration all together sharing food, libations and friendship but in keeping with the tradition of Athenians cooking, baking and bringing their special holiday dishes we have put together a few of our Athena members’ favorite recipes. We hope you will enjoy making them for your family and friends, or just reading them and savoring the memories.
