Based on a ruling by U.S. District Judge Robert Hinkle, same sex couples can now be legally married in the state of Florida. Thousands of couples have already received marriage licenses across the state, including over 1200 couples by end of day January 6. On a national level, the U.S. Supreme Court announced on January 16 that they would decide whether or not all states must allow same sex marriage.
