Doris Weatherford and Anne Gormly invite you to join them at the Tampa Bay History Center on
Wednesday, January 17, at 6:30 to hear Dr. Elizabeth Coachman discuss her new book, Mary
Safford: Indomitable Mite. Dr. Safford resisted discrimination to become a physician in the nineteenth century; she eventually moved to Tarpon Springs and was active in the movement for women’s right to vote. Dr. Coachman, who will present the story, is a recently retired physician and very witty. Please invite young women interested in medicine and let Doris or Anne know if you want to have dinner afterwards
at the Columbia Restaurant in the History Center.
