The Helen Gordon Davis Leadership Award at the second Waves of Change luncheon will be presented to Sheila Johnson, co-founder of Black Entertainment Television. Sandy Freedman, Tampa’s first female mayor, will be the first recipient of the Waves Award which pays tribute to a local woman who has turned the tide for women’s leadership in the Tampa Bay community. The celebration will be held at the Hilton Tampa Downtown, March 10 at 11:30 a.m. Tickets may be purchased at www.thecentre.org.
