The 2015 COSW Fall Issues Forum titled “The Grocery Gap: Who has Access to Healthy Food and Why it Matters focuses on hunger in Hillsborough County. We will convene stakeholders/ leaders to discuss the issues, identify gaps and develop tactics. The COSW Advisory Council and members of the COSW are planning the event. We are leveraging existing relationships, programs and resources and developing new ones to enhance our community outreach. Discussions with Florida’s Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam, McDonalds, FitLife, Publix and additional community partners to develop a meaningful program are underway. The Forum, scheduled for November 17 from 1 to 4 p.m. will be held at the Children’s Board of Hillsborough County. We encourage you or your representative to attend this event and lend your voice to the discussion.
