Artist Laura Waller Wins Award

Athena member and artist, Laura Waller, was awarded the Best in Show award at the 27th Annual All Florida Juried Exhibition of the Alliance for the Arts in Ft. Myers. Frank Verpoorten, the Director and Chief Curator at the Baker Museum of Art in Naples, presented the award for Waller’s oil on canvass painting “Owls Head,” pictured below. All three of her submitted paintings, “Owls Head,” “Devotion,” and “Alone,” were accepted into the show.
