Luncheon to Feature Kathleen Heide’s New Book

4/28/2013 | Author: Johanne Castagan

On Friday, May 31, the Four Seasons Author Series will present Dr. Kathleen Heide, whose new book is Understanding Parricide: When Sonsand Daughters Kill Parents.  Published by Oxford University Press, it came out almost simultaneously with the Newtown CT tragedy which killed 27. The killer was a 20-year-old who shot his mother before going to Sandy Hook Elementary where the rampage occurred.

Professor Heide has hands-on experience in this field as well as extensive knowledge of the literature.  For educators, lawyers, health professionals–for anyone concerned at the seeming increase in violence, this will be the most comprehensive and up-to-date information available.

Reservations are required for the University Club luncheon sponsored by Friends of the Library; tickets are $30.   To reserve, call 273-3616.
