U.S. District Judge Mary Scriven Selected to Receive Gertrude Rush Award.

The Honorable Mary S. Scriven was selected to receive the prestigious Gertrude E. Rush Award and honored at the National Bar Association dinner in Tampa on April 19, 2012. Named for Gertrude E. Rush, who was the sole female founder of the National Bar Association, the award recognizes recipients for for their pioneering spirits, demonstrated leadership in the community and legal profession, concern for human and civil rights, and excellence in excellence and perseverance in the law. Judge Scriven, served as a U.S. Magistrate Judge prior to her commission as a U.S. District Judge in 2008, and she certainly embodies the spirit of the award!
